Proffitt’s Lawn & Leisure, Ltd has been providing quality service to Amarillo and the surrounding area for over 60 years. In 1970 Darrel and Frances Brogdon purchased the business hoping to provide some extra income for their family. Just a year later, Proffitt’s had grown too much for Frances to handle alone, so Darrel quit his job as a fireman to join the business full time.

Since then, Proffitt's has grown from a 1200 sq foot building to a new, 18,000 sq foot building in south west Amarillo. In 2006 Darrel and Frances officially retired and their son and three daughters took over operations, though they are still active in decision making. Proffitt’s also employs their granddaughter, two grandsons, and approximately 15 other employees, including three mechanics that have 45 years combined experience.

Proffitt’s has always had a “service what we sell” policy. Respectively, Proffitt’s stocks over 6500 different part numbers with over 500 different equipment models to choose from. We also fill over 3000 special orders a year. If we don’t have what you need, we can usually find it.

At Proffitt’s, we try to concentrate mainly on the brands we sell in order to provide better service and satisfaction to our customers; whether you are the commercial landscaper or the residential lawn enthusiast.
